Dr Baker is a Fellow in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry, which requires credentialing and passing an examination, which is given annually. The credentialing process involves proof of performing various procedures, tracking dental cases, and submitting x-rays, dental models, and proof of other dental skills as well. Dr. Baker credentialed in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry in 1994.

In 2005, Dr. Baker was accepted into the American Veterinary Dental College. There are just over 100 members worldwide who have met the qualifications, credentialed, and passed the required examinations
